Every studio has a story, and ours is deeply rooted in a passion for teaching, community, and the joy of ballet. Here's a look back at our journey so far:
🌱 May 2017 — The Beginning
Our very first children’s ballet class began under the name TACTBALLET.NY in Eastchester, NY. What started as a small offering quickly grew into something special—filled with laughter, tiny ballet shoes, and big dreams.
🎭 June 2018 — First Recital
We held our first year-end recital at the historic Tarrytown Music Hall. It was a beautiful moment that brought families, students, and the local community together through the power of dance.
👣 September 2018 – A New Chapter
Ms. Aya joined Scarsdale Ballet Studio, where she taught over 50 students annually for the next five years, in both Japanese and English. While on faculty, she:
Coached and performed in the Nutcracker
Choreographed year-end performances
Led Summer Intensive Programs
Taught Core Training Classes to help students build strong ballet-ready bodies
🏡 June 2022 – A Decision from the Heart
When Scarsdale Ballet Studio relocated to White Plains, Ms. Aya chose to stay rooted in the Eastchester/Scarsdale area to better serve the community she had come to love.
🌟 September 5, 2022 – A Dream Realized
Aya Tajimi Ballet Studio officially opened on Garth Road in Scarsdale, NY.With a mission to nurture every dancer—whether dancing for joy or training for the stage—the studio became a warm and welcoming home for students of all ages and backgrounds.
