Nice to Meet You! Welcome to Aya Tajimi Ballet Studio

We’ve launched this blog to share the beauty of ballet — and to let more people know about our studio!

Aya Tajimi Ballet Studio is located in Scarsdale, NY, just a one-minute walk from the Metro North train station, "Scarsdale". Since opening in 2022, we’ve been growing as a family-friendly, community-rooted ballet studio, offering classes for children (ages 3 and up) through adults.

🩰 About the Studio

After years of performing and teaching ballet with the NBA Ballet Company in Japan, Ms. Aya began teaching in Scarsdale in 2017.

She was trained in classical Russian ballet and holds a certified teaching qualification from American Ballet Theatre (ABT®) NTC Certified Teacher from PP to Level 5. This unique background allows her to combine deep tradition with modern, research-based ballet training — helping each student grow effectively, confidently, and safely.

🎭 Our Stage and Class Approach

We offer two full performance opportunities each year — our Nutcracker in winter, and a full production in late spring. From costumes to choreography, we aim to provide students with authentic stage experiences that spark motivation and joy.

Our teaching philosophy emphasizes health and longevity in dance. We’re committed to nurturing “well-being dancers” — strong in both body and mind, and able to enjoy dancing for years to come.

Classes are available from once a week for busy families or beginners, up to advanced and competition-track options for more serious students.

🌸 What Ballet Can Teach

Ballet is not just about dancing. Through music, movement, and discipline, students build grace, confidence, focus, posture, resilience, and so much more — skills that benefit them throughout life.
